Location Victoria

 

The Location Victoria initiative assists all councils in provincial Victoria to promote their locations to the film and television production industry. Part of the Victorian Government's Provincial Statement: Moving Forward, it is designed to help these councils secure the economic and cultural benefits of production activity for their communities.

 

Seven promotional websites are now online, showcasing the state's diverse filming locations and providing valuable information about filming in the regions. To view the websites, click on the following links:

Our Occupational Health & Safety Management System

What is it?

It's a practical tool designed to simplify and assist the film and television industry to implement and manage occupational health and safety in Victoria, and is relevant to all film and television practitioners.  It's easy to use, lists all job functions for productions and is suitable for day to day use to maintain safe and secure production workplaces. One of its benefits is that it centrally locates OHS policies and regulations relevant to Victorian productions, including links to relevant regulatory bodies such as the Victorian WorkCover Authority.

Who can use it?

It's relevant for all professionals within the film and television industry. 

Why should I use it?

The system will make it easier for you to implement current OHS legislation, ensure regulatory compliance, and make film and television production safety easier to implement, whatever your role.

Trends for Writers in Today's Game Market

Kurt Busch, Manager Krome Studios Melbourne and South Australia presented an overview of the games development business and contextualised new creative opportunities in games at the GROWING WORLDS: TURNING YOUR STORIES IN TO GAMES seminar on 1st March 2008.
