Who is Film Victoria?
Film Victoria is the State Government agency that provides strategic leadership and assistance to the film, television and digital media industry of Victoria. We develop and invest in both projects and people, and promote Victoria as a world-class production destination nationally and internationally.

What do we do?
Film Victoria supports and develops the film, television and digital media industries in Victoria.
We provide assistance to stimulate and support the Victorian film, television, digital media and screen culture industries through a range of production investment, content creation and professional development programs. See Programs and Guidelines.
We are also the film commission for Victoria, Australia, We promote and develop the State as a production-friendly destination. Our goal is to increase the economic value of Victoria's film and television production industry by attracting national and international production to the State. Where do we get our funding from?
The Victorian Govenment supports the arts and cultural industries to encourage excellence, develop good ideas, build audiences, encourage participation and improve facilities. This support is delivered through targeted programs devised by research and in response to community need. Film Victoria reports directly to the Minister for Innovation, The Hon. John Brumby MP.

Can I do work experience with the Film Victoria?
Unfortunately Film Victoria does not offer work experience. If you are seeking work experience on film and television productions, you will need to contact a production company directly. The Film Victoria Production Directory and What's Shooting listing are a good source of information for this purpose, or you can contact Victorian production companies directly.
My property is perfect for a film shoot, where do I find information to list it?

If Film Victoria invests in my project do I have to pay back the funded amount?
Where Film Victoria owns Intellectual Property (IP) and takes an equity position it will expect to recoup money. Where Film Victoria produces professional development support in form of an advance or loan we also expect repayment as negotiated.
