Acquitting Your SKILLS Funding

Successful applicants to our suite of Professional Development programs will be required to enter into an agreement with us. In this agreement we'll specify the terms of the grant including what you'll need to deliver to us to access grant payments.

Internship on a Production Reporting Obligations

Interns and production entities will be required to submit the following deliverables:

Intern

• Internship Report (264KB) (within 30 days of completion)
• Professional Progress Report (352KB) (12 months after completion)

Production Entity

• Supervisor / HOD Report (220KB) (within 30 days of completion)
• Production Entity Report (225KB) (within 30 days of completion)

Internship with a Company Reporting Obligations

Interns and host companies will be required to submit the following deliverables:

• Commencement Reporting
• Internship Commencement Report (353KB) (including a employment agreement or industrial award)
• Internship Mid Stage Report - Intern (146KB)
• Internship Mid Stage Report - Company (299KB)
• Internship Acquittal Report - Intern (172KB)
• Internship Acquittal Report - Company (170KB) (within 30 days of completion)
  Example: Pay Report (68KB) as required in the Internship Acquittal Report (generated through Payroll software such as MYOB or Quicken)
• Professional Progress Report (350KB) (12 months after completion)

International Market Support Reporting Obligations

Market attendees will be required to submit the following deliverables:

• International Market Support acquittal report (270KB) (within 30 days of return)
• Professional Progress Report (206KB) (six months after return)
• Participation in a market debrief

And if you receive a mentorship as part of your application:

• Mentor acquittal report (within 30 days of return)
• Mentee acquittal report (within 30 days of return)

Repayment of the maket support loan together with a 10% premium is payable when principal photography commences on the applicant's next project to go into production. For new media projects, the applicant must repay the loan together with a 10% premium from the next project to be secured by the applicant (including third party fees for services projects by publishers).

International Fellowships Reporting Obligations

Fellows and host companies will be required to submit the following deliverables:

Fellow

• Fellowship mid-stage report
• International Fellowships Acquittal Report (333KB) (within 30 days of completion)
• International Fellowships Professional Progress Report (342KB) (12 months after completion)
• Attendance at a briefing with Film Victoria upon return
• Participation in Film Victoria mentor program

Host Company

• Host company acquittal report (within 30 days of completion)

Industry Activities Reporting Obligations

Guilds, Associations, Organisations and Individuals will be required to submit the following deliverables:

• Industry Activities Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Template (142KB) 
• Industry Activities Acquittal Report (275KB) (within 30 days after the activity)

Organisational Funding; as contractually agreed.

Contracting and Payment Timelines

If your application for International FestivalSupport or International Market Support is approved, your Agreement will be issued within approximately 10 business days. The first payment will be made within 14 business days of Film Victoria's receipt of a fully executed Agreement AND once all conditions have been satisfied. These conditions may include (but are not limited to) provision of an invoice and bank account details, and bringing any outstanding obligations to Film Victoria up to date. You should consult your Agreement for specific conditions.

Before you apply, you should consider your ability to cash-flow your travel if your application is successful, as Film Victoria is unable to expedite the contracting and payment process in the event that you are scheduled to travel before this process is complete.
