Acquitting Your Development Funding

Successful applicants to these programs will be required to enter into a contract with us. In this contract we'll specify what you'll need to deliver to us to access your payments. 

Repayment of Film Victoria's development investment together with a 10% premium is payable when principal photography commences on the project, or in the case of projects for which principal photography has commenced, repayment is due on completion of the project (the latter being projects not in receipt of production funding from Film Victoria).

An amount equal to Film Victoria's investment plus the premium should be included in the production budget for the project.

In addition, Film Victoria is entitled to a share of net profits that is calculated on the amount of its investment as follows:

Writers, producers and researchers will be required to submit the following deliverables:

• 1 sentence project pitch
• 1 paragraph (3-4 line) synopsis
• Writer, producer or researcher's narrative report on development
• Next stage development plan
• Acquittal of expenditure (how the investment funds were spent)
• Market overview & commercialisation plan
• Pitching proposal or treatment

Screen Development Documentary - Advanced Stage Reporting Obligations

Writers, producers and researchers will be required to submit the following deliverables:

• 1 sentence project pitch
• 1 paragraph (3-4 line) synopsis
• Writer, producer or researcher's narrative report on development
• Next stage development plan
• Acquittal of expenditure (how the investment funds were spent)
• Market overview & commercialisation plan
• Advanced treatment or script and, if applicable, a video teaser
