Our overall aim is to cultivate a world leading screen economy and culture in Victoria. It's at the core of everything we do here and we do that by offering more than just funding programmes.
We want to provide practitioners with services and information that will ultimately assist them to make great content and really connect with their audiences.
Audience is a long-term priority for Film Victoria, and it reflects increasing discussion within the industry over the past few years about Audience - who they are and what they want?
Audiences are vital to the success of a project, but they can be elusive. Our aim is to connect screen practitioners to useful tools, resources and cutting edge research to make great content.
This has and will be done through the continued provision of initiatives, events and online information on audience.
In September 2010 we held a two day summit, Arresting Audiences, that explored the importance of connecting with audiences, and how to best use that connection to make great content. To find out more about what was presented at this event, click here.
As part of our ongoing commitment to audience development and engagement, we have and will continue to publish all manner of resources from the summit and beyond. To tap into information such as research, box office analysis, an audience testing case study, an analysis of free to air programming and much more, check out our resources page.
